Coventry Diplodocus was painted at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry as part of the Work On Walls exhibition and coincided with the Natural History Museum Dippy the Diplodocus visiting Coventry. The piece was pretty challenging to paint getting in all the landmarks such as the cathedral, Elephant building and the gallery itself. It made for an immersive experience going around all 4 walls and it featured smaller prehistoric creatures that young people from Coventry added their own drawn elements to. WOW featured the work of contemporary street artists responding to works in the Herbert’s collection.
